You can pick up a bike at any station, and return it to any of the 1600 stations throughout the New York City area. Rates are based on time, not distance.
To rent a Citi Bike, first you'll need to install the Citi Bike app on your phone, and provide it with credit card information. Then go to a Citi Bike station, and use your phone to scan the QR code on whichever bike you want. The bike is released from the stand, and you're ready to ride!
When finished, find a Citi Bike station and roll the bike into one of the empty stands with enough force to lock it in. Make sure the bike has secured into the stand, so it won't pull back out. The app will tell you the cost of the ride you just finished.
Bikes come equipped with a basket, bell, and safety lights. You'll need to provide your own helmet.
